Paper Presentations

Each presentation is scheduled for a total of 20 minutes, consisting of 15 minutes for the presentation followed by 5 minutes for questions and discussion.

Presenters are kindly asked to adhere to the allocated time to help ensure the smooth running of the program. We also encourage presenters to arrive at their session at least 10 minutes in advance to upload and prepare their presentation. Please ensure that you bring your presentation either saved on a USB drive (preferably) or on your personal laptop.

Session Chair Guidelines

Each session follows a standard format of four papers within an 80-minute timeframe. Each presenter has 15 minutes to present, followed by 5 minutes for questions and discussion. We kindly ask that you ensure all presenters receive their full 20 minutes.

Please note that some sessions may include only three papers; in such cases, we kindly ask you to maintain the 20-minute per paper format, as participants may move between sessions.

To help the session run smoothly, we would appreciate it if you could:

  • Arrive in the room at least 5 minutes before the session to ensure all presenters are present.
  • Introduce yourself and the session at the beginning (e.g., “I am X from Y University/Company, and I welcome you to session Z”).
  • Keep time and ensure a balanced discussion period for each presentation.
  • Prepare at least one question for each speaker, in case additional discussion is needed.
  • Gently intervene if needed to manage time – for example, by redirecting extended questions or suggesting further discussion outside the session.
  • In the very unlikely event of inappropriate behaviour, please feel empowered to intervene and report it to the conference chairs.
