Travelling to Braga

How to get to Braga

By plane

The closest airport to Braga is the International Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport (OPO) in Porto, the main international gateway to the region. Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport is situated approximately 55 kilometres from Braga.

Bus and Coach Services

The easiest way to get to Braga from the airport is by coach. A few coach companies operate from the airport to Braga Coach Station.

Subway/Metro + Train

Alternatively, you can take the metro (Violeta Line) to Campanhã Station [about 33 minutes, operating between 6:00 a.m. and 1:30 a.m.].

From Campanhã Station you can take the train to Braga.

Braga train station is located close to the city centre (approximately 5-minute walk).

Taxi

Taxis are readily available outside the airport terminals and offer a convenient and direct route to Braga. The journey typically takes around 40-50 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.

If you fly to Lisbon International Airport – Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS) (approx 360 Km away from Braga) –  there are train and coach options to travel to Braga from Lisbon.

By Car
